Lucky Strike Entertainment is seeking an Energy Consultant to support its mission of reducing energy costs and promoting sustainable operations across its entertainment venues. This role will evaluate existing energy contracts, assess renewable energy opportunities such as solar adoption, and recommend actionable strategies to improve in-center energy efficiency through operational and management best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utility Rate Analysis
  • Review and verify electricity, gas, and water rates to ensure billing accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends and utility rate structures across regions where Lucky Strike operates .
  • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to optimize supplier contracts and negotiate better energy terms.
  • Renewable Energy & Solar Exploration
  • Evaluate the feasibility of solar installations and other renewable options at select Lucky Strike venues.
  • Conduct ROI modeling for solar and storage systems in coordination with local utilities and incentive programs.
  • Manage vendor evaluations, proposals, and implementation timelines for renewable projects.
  • Energy Efficiency & Operational Improvements
  • Conduct facility energy audits to identify inefficiencies in lighting, HVAC, kitchen equipment, and arcade systems.
  • Recommend and help implement behavioral and operational changes to lower energy consumption.
  • Support rollout of smart thermostats, LED retrofits, or building automation technologies where feasible .
  • Data Reporting & Compliance
  • Track energy performance metrics and report on consumption, savings, and sustainability milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with local and state energy regulations or benchmarking ordinances.
  • Maintain documentation on rebates, incentives, and ESG-related reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of experience in energy consulting, facility management, or sustainability roles.
  • Strong understanding of utility rate structures, renewable energy programs, and building operations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, energy benchmarking tools (e.g., ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager), and financial modeling.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and vendor management skills.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in the hospitality, retail, or entertainment sectors.
  • Knowledge of solar project development, net metering, and state incentive programs.
  • Certification such as CEM (Certified Energy Manager) or LEED Accreditation is a plus.
