Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and optimize the system power architecture for battery-powered electronics.
  • Design, implement, and validate power measurement test setups for comprehensive power characterization.
  • Conduct day-of-use power analysis to evaluate and improve system power consumption and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues with a focus on optimizing power performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (XFN) to bridge power modeling and power characterization, driving system-level power optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to ensure seamless integration of power systems in product designs.

Required Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of power systems in battery-powered electronics, including architecture, power measurement tools, and methods.
  • Strong expertise in power characterization, test design, and validation.
  • Extensive experience in hardware debugging and troubleshooting with a power optimization focus.
  • Knowledge of the relationships between power modeling and power characterization, and ability to collaborate with XFN teams for power optimization.
  • Familiarity with low voltage power supply circuit design, IC components, and the trade-offs between linear and switching regulators.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with battery chargers, PMICs, SoC, MCU, memory, and peripherals.
  • Hands-on experience with low voltage power supply circuit design, IC selection, and understanding of the trade-offs between linear and switching regulators.
  • Ability to contribute to the design and development of energy-efficient products and systems.
