This Position reports to:
Engineering Manager
Help us electrify critical infrastructure and accelerate the energy transition. In ABB’s Process Automation – Energy Industries (PAEN), you’ll engineer safe, reliable HV/MV/LV and protection solutions for offshore and industrial installations—partnering closely with project management, suppliers and customers from design through commissioning.
What You’ll Do
- Lead engineering & design for electrical power distribution systems (HV/MV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS, drives).
- Translate customer requirements and standards into robust, testable solutions, own reviews, upgrades and compliance.
- Provide technical support to testing, installation and commissioning; contribute as a subject‑matter specialist across projects.
- Collaborate with Norwegian and international stakeholders; some travel expected.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven package engineering across some of: HV/MV (AIS/GIS 5–132 kV++), LV switchboards, transformers (dry/oil), frequency converters, UPS, generator control.
- Solid understanding of multifunction protection relays and their role in power systems; hands‑on relay config/testing/commissioning is a plus.
- Familiarity with interfaces to automation systems (e.g. IEC 61850).
- BSc/MSc in Electric Power Engineering (or equivalent).
- Fluent Norwegian & English; commercial awareness; a collaborative mindset with coaching spirit.
