USA, Utah: Excelsior Energy Capital has successfully commissioned the 525-MW Faraday Solar Farm in Utah County, marking one of the largest solar projects in the western United States. The project, completed in under two years, will deliver carbon-free electricity to the grid through a 20-year power purchase agreement with Meta Inc., offsetting the energy needs of its data centre operations.
Featuring 1.2 million solar panels, the Faraday Solar Farm strengthens local energy security while contributing to broader decarbonisation goals. Harvard research indicates that expanding solar generation nationwide by 15 % could cut annual CO₂ emissions from electricity production by up to 8.5 million tons.
