India: Honeywell and LS ELECTRIC have formed a global strategic partnership to co-develop integrated switchgear and power management solutions designed to improve energy reliability and efficiency for data centres and large commercial buildings.
The collaboration brings together LS ELECTRIC’s expertise in power systems and Honeywell’s building automation technologies to enhance operational resilience and align power load with capacity. The initial product line will include integrated switchgear and power management equipment to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply for critical operations.
The companies also plan to introduce advanced electrical power monitoring systems built on Honeywell Forge, integrating AI-driven analytics to optimise energy distribution, support predictive maintenance, and reduce downtime and power quality issues.
Beyond switchgear, the partnership will extend to a battery energy storage system (BESS) capable of responding dynamically to both grid and building conditions. This will enable the creation of microgrids, improving resilience and supporting the transition to smarter, decentralised energy systems.
By combining LS ELECTRIC’s innovations in energy storage with Honeywell’s software-based energy control, the new systems will improve energy forecasting and cost management using real-time utility and weather data.
As data centres’ electricity use continues to rise, the collaboration positions Honeywell and LS ELECTRIC to play a key role in delivering intelligent, integrated power infrastructure that supports the digital economy while improving energy efficiency and reliability.
