Ghana, Accra: Lauritz Knudsen Electrical & Automation, a unit of Schneider Electric, has announced an expansion of its operations in Ghana to support industrial growth, infrastructure development and power reliability.
The company said the move comes as Ghana continues to pursue grid modernisation, wider electricity access and industrial development. Power interruptions remain a challenge for businesses, manufacturers, real estate developers and agricultural producers.
At an engagement with partners, distributors and customers in Accra, Lauritz Knudsen presented its portfolio of low-voltage switchgear, industrial automation and agricultural automation solutions for the Ghanaian market.
The company said its technologies are designed for sectors where electrical interruptions can have major operational consequences, including mining, manufacturing, healthcare, oil and gas, agriculture and commercial infrastructure.
According to Lauritz Knudsen, reliable electrical distribution is particularly important for facilities requiring continuous operation, such as processing plants, hospitals, data centres and manufacturing sites.
The company also sees opportunities in commercial real estate, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, solar solutions and smart energy management systems.
Lauritz Knudsen said it will continue working through its distribution network in Ghana to provide low- and medium-voltage switchgear, automation systems and related technologies.
The expansion highlights growing demand for reliable switchgear and energy management solutions in markets where industrial development depends on stable and resilient power supply.
