France, Limoges: Industrial group Legrand has acquired Kratos Industries, a company specialising in low- and medium-voltage power equipment for data centres. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Arvada, Colorado, Kratos produces low-voltage switchboards, medium-voltage switchgear and integrated power systems used in data centre grey space and industrial settings.

Legrand said the acquisition will enhance its critical power offering to the fast-growing data centre market. The addition of Kratos will complement its existing grey space portfolio, which includes cable bus systems, load banks and cable trays.

Pedro Mendieta, President of Data, Power and Control for Legrand North and Central America, said data centres are under growing pressure to expand digital infrastructure quickly and reliably. He noted that bringing Kratos into the group strengthens Legrand’s ability to support the full data centre power chain with a single, trusted partner.

Rowan Koons will take on the role of Vice President and General Manager of the Kratos business unit within Legrand’s DPC division. He described the move as an important milestone, adding that access to Legrand’s global supply chain and operational network will help accelerate growth and support large, complex projects.

Headquartered in Limoges, France, Legrand operates in 90 countries and provides electrical and digital building infrastructure solutions. The acquisition follows a series of data centre-related deals in 2024 and 2025, as well as participation in Accelsius’ Series B funding round.
