UAE / Iraq: Pacific International Lines (PIL) has successfully shipped a 95-t substation unit from Jebel Ali, UAE, to Umm Qasr, Iraq. The delivery was completed on 16 December aboard Kota Rahmat, operating on PIL’s dedicated Iraq Feeder Service (IQF).
The project required specialised lifting equipment and precise coordination across both terminals. During unloading, a tandem lift operation was executed, demanding exact timing and close teamwork between cranes and operational staff.
PIL described the shipment as the heaviest cargo ever handled by its Middle East, Horn of Africa, and East Africa regional office. The company said the milestone demonstrates its growing expertise in managing complex project cargo and reinforces its capability to handle large-scale logistics challenges.
This achievement highlights PIL’s continuing commitment to providing reliable and technically advanced transport solutions for heavy and specialised industrial equipment across the region.
