India, Telangana, Mancherial: Power Mech Projects Ltd has announced that it has secured an order worth over $283 M (₹2,500 crore) from Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) for the balance of plant (BoP) works at the upcoming 1×800 MW Singareni Super Thermal Power Project (Stage-II) in Mancherial, Telangana.
In a filing to the stock exchange, the company stated that the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract covers a wide range of responsibilities including design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, construction, erection, commissioning, and maintenance. The project is scheduled for completion within 38 months.
The new 800 MW supercritical unit is being developed adjacent to two existing 600 MW units commissioned by BHEL in 2016. The overall thermal power project is owned by Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL), a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Telangana. SCCL had awarded the EPC order for the plant to BHEL earlier this year, in February 2025.
Power Mech Projects’ scope also includes civil and structural works, trial runs, performance guarantee testing, training, and warranty support, ensuring the facility’s operational readiness through to final handover.
