USA, Texas, El Paso: Two electric company employees were injured on 15 April following an incident at a substation in El Paso, Texas.
According to the fire department, one of the workers was in a serious condition and was airlifted to hospital, while the second was taken to medical care by ambulance. Both individuals were transported from the scene by emergency responders.
The incident took place at an El Paso Electric Company Substation in Far East El Paso. Fire crews were called to the location around 11 a.m.
Reports from local media indicated that outages were recorded in the area around the same time. However, officials have not confirmed whether the injuries were connected to the power interruptions. Electricity has since been restored.
The utility company has confirmed that the injured individuals are employees, although further details have not been released. The cause of the incident is still under investigation and remains unclear at this stage.
Authorities and emergency services are continuing to look into what happened, and no further official explanation has yet been provided.
