Romania: ABB Romania has introduced the SACE Emax 3 air circuit breaker during an event at the ABB Customer Experience Center in Bucharest.
Customers, business partners and industry professionals attended the launch, where ABB presented how its latest electrification technologies can support energy resilience, digitalisation and more sustainable infrastructure.
The SACE Emax 3 is designed for high-power facilities such as data centres, industrial plants, hospitals, airports and other critical infrastructure. It combines advanced sensing, real-time data analytics and predictive maintenance features to support safety, continuity of operation and better system awareness.
According to ABB, the SACE Emax 3 is recognised as the world’s first air circuit breaker certified to IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2, strengthening cybersecurity standards in electrical systems. The device also includes an integrated arc-flash detection system, helping to protect both people and equipment.
Building on the Emax 2 platform, the new circuit breaker is intended to provide stronger grid stability, improved digital intelligence and more accurate power monitoring. These features are particularly important in mission-critical environments where uninterrupted power supply is essential.
“The SACE Emax 3 embodies the resilience, intelligence and cybersecurity needed to support modern infrastructures,” said Mioara Brasoveanu, Vice President Commercial, Electrification.
