India / Zambia: Bajel Projects Limited, a Bajaj Group company in the business of power transmission and distribution solutions, has successfully completed and commissioned the 132 kV Single Circuit Coventry – Waterworks, Coventry – Jimmy – Chawama Transmission Line Project for ZESCO, in Lusaka, Zambia. This milestone underscores Bajel’s ability to deliver complex international EPC projects with precision, technical expertise, and a strong commitment to safety.

The project included three essential transmission links: Coventry – Waterworks (3.5 km), Jimmy – Chawama (7.5 km), and Coventry – Jimmy (2.5 km). This new infrastructure is set to significantly improve grid stability, cut transmission losses, and support the growing electricity demand in Lusaka, contributing to Zambia’s long-term energy resilience.

Operating in a densely built urban area, Bajel Projects overcame tight logistics, narrow construction corridors, and community proximity, all while maintaining smooth execution. The project recorded an impressive 116,642 safe man-hours with zero major incidents—demonstrating Bajel’s commitment to safe and efficient project delivery.
