Bajel Projects wins 400 kV transmission contract

Bajel Projects secures a mega order from PowerGrid Corporation of India for a 400 kV line to support India’s energy transition and green power goals.

India, Mumbai: Bajel Projects Limited has announced the receipt of a significant contract from PowerGrid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) under the “Mega” category, valued at over $35 M (Rs300 crore).

The order involves Transmission Line Package TL04 for the Siwani–Jind (PG) 400 kV double-circuit (Quad) line, part of the Transmission System of REZ Phase IV (Part 3: 6GW), Bikaner Complex – Part B.

Awarded through the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) route, the contract spans the construction of approximately 99 km of 400 kV transmission lines. The project is commissioned under PGCIL’s Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), POWERGRID Siwani Transmission Limited, and must be completed within 18 months.
