Brazil: BRUSH Group is presenting its contribution to energy management and decarbonisation at the COP30 climate meeting, taking place in Brazil until 21 November 2025. The company’s role is being featured through activities organised by the SJH Group, acting as the official media partner for World Engineering Day, an initiative of the World Federation of Engineering Organisations.
The collaboration places BRUSH within a broader effort to highlight how engineering and industrial capability support climate goals. The material forms part of a programme marking the 325th anniversary of the 1701 Act of Settlement, which established core principles of parliamentary authority in the United Kingdom. This anniversary is being used to reflect on the evolution of British and Commonwealth industry, focusing on resilience, adaptation and sustainability across manufacturing and supply chains.
BRUSH is referenced as an example of a company that has repeatedly adapted to technological change over its long history. The organisation has evolved with shifting market needs while maintaining a strong position in electrical engineering.
Today, the company operates across England, Scotland, and Wales, with activities centred on the design, manufacture and installation of power transformers, electrical switchgear and related engineering solutions. Its work supports efforts to strengthen energy security and reduce emissions across critical infrastructure.
The company’s history and current activities will also feature in an upcoming commemorative publication, 100 Years of Monarchy and Democracy: The Crown, Parliament and the Commonwealth, which documents a century of governance, legislation and industrial development.
Nicolas Pitrat, CEO of BRUSH Group, noted that the company’s longstanding contribution to the UK’s industrial landscape and its role in supporting essential energy infrastructure form an important part of these initiatives and wider discussions taking place during COP30.
