Denmark: Danish renewables firm European Energy’s 165 MW offshore wind farm being developed in partnership with local utility company Sonfor has received a construction permit. The permit was granted by the Danish Energy Agency for the Lillebaelt Syd project, planned to be constructed in the Strait of Lillebaelt near Soenderborg.
The project is expected to go live in 2029 and is set to have the capacity to generate enough power for 148000 homes annually. It will be majority-owned by TotalEnergies. In January, the French energy group agreed to acquire majority stakes in both Lillebaelt Syd and the 40 MW Jammerland Bugt scheme.
