Finland: Finnish renewables developer and fund manager Taaleri Energia has awarded a firm contract to Sweden’s Eltel AB for the construction of the 129 MWp Hallanvahti solar farm in Finland. Under a €73.5 million ($76.1 million) turnkey deal, the company will be responsible for the construction of the project, said to be the second largest in the country, the transformer station, the grid connection, and operation and maintenance of the site.
The agreement follows a conditional engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract signed in late 2024. The project is expected to generate approximately 140 GWh of electricity, sufficient to power 18000 homes. Construction works will begin in Q1 of 2025, with commissioning anticipated by mid-2026.
