Ganz develops new solutions system
The Ganz Intelligent Solutions Expert System provides a digital tool for condition assessment, diagnostics, and maintenance scheduling of power assets.

Hungary, Budapest: Ganz Transformers and Electric Rotating Machines Ltd. has announced its artificial intelligence-based expert solution. The Ganz Intelligent Solutions Expert System provides a digital tool for condition assessment, diagnostics, and maintenance scheduling of power assets, especially transformers, motors, and generators. It can be retrofitted to existing equipment. The product aims to predict repair and maintenance needs and to manage the growing asset fleets.
Launched this autumn, the system uses AI and data-driven algorithms to provide a picture of the health status of assets. By providing information on the diagnosis of a potential, developing or already existing faults, including its severity and the need for intervention, the cost and time of more complex repair and maintenance works can be reduced.
The system is built on a knowledge base that combines decades of industry experience with digital, algorithm-based solutions. It can assess the technical condition of equipment and generate risk indices. The algorithms can consider diagnostic measurement data together with online monitoring data. The system analyses the relationships between parameters, helping to identify problems early and intervene effectively. The product enables the assessment of multiple transformers, i.e., fleet management.
“We can see that industrial operators are reaching the limits of their capabilities as they take responsibility for increasingly large and diverse fleets of assets. In response to this need, our development provides companies with a solution that greatly simplifies the operation, diagnostics and maintenance of their assets,” said Gábor Farkas, Brand Manager of Ganz Intelligent Solutions.
Ganz partnered with the German company Maschinenfabrik Reinhausen in 2022 to introduce the system, and then extended the technology to electric rotating machines in September 2023. The development of digital solutions is of strategic importance to the company.
