A consolidated review of government tender filings from early April 2026 reveals a significant global push for transformer renewals. Key awards and tenders include Energa Operator (Poland) seeking 160 kVA MV/LV replacements, and the Provincial Electricity Authority (Thailand) initiating a major purchase of five 16 MVA, 22 kV AVR system transformers. Furthermore, Elektroprenos BiH has issued calls for measuring transformers, while Eskom (South Africa) and NTEC (Russia) have listed substantial linear and transformer input replacements. This “data density” suggests that while HVDC and mega-projects dominate headlines, the commercial volume in the Medium-voltage sector remains robust as national utilities modernise secondary distribution to handle increased load volatility.
