Google to offtake power from Engie’s project
Engie North America has struck a deal to deliver green power from its 350 MW Chillingham solar project in Texas to Google.

USA, Texas: Engie North America, part of French utility Engie SA, has struck a deal to deliver green power from its 350 MW Chillingham solar project in Texas to Google LLC. The project is scheduled to go online later this year.
Alphabet Inc’s search engine operator will offtake electricity from 90 MW of the project’s overall capacity. The duration of the power purchase agreement (PPA) was not specified. The Chillingham PV farm is being installed north of Austin, in Bell County. Google will the electricity from the plant to meet the demand of its Texas operations. So far, Engie and Google have signed five renewable energy PPAs globally.
