HSM secures EA2 substation deal

ScottishPower Renewables has awarded HSM Offshore Energy an EPCIC contract for the 960 MW East Anglia 2 offshore substation and jacket foundation.

UK: HSM will supply a 5,100 mt high-voltage offshore substation and a 3,700 mt jacket foundation for the project off the Suffolk coast. Initial engineering work began in summer 2024 under an early agreement, with construction set to begin in Q4 2025. The jacket installation is scheduled for Q3 2027, followed by the topside installation in late 2027.

Located 33 km from Southwold and 37 km from Lowestoft in the southern North Sea, the East Anglia 2 offshore wind farm will provide power to nearly one million homes once operational.
