Saudi Arabia, Jubail: Nesma Infrastructure & Technology has secured a $224 M (SAR 840 M) contract from Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) to construct a new 230/115/34.5 kV substation in Jubail, located in Saudi Arabia’s eastern region.

Under the agreement, Nesma will build the Jubail Southeast substation and carry out associated overhead transmission line (OHTL) works and replacement activities. The project is set to be completed within 20 months.

This latest award marks Nesma’s second contract win from SEC in November, following a separate $40 M agreement for a 380 kV OHTL project.

Throughout the year, Nesma has continued to strengthen its position in the kingdom’s power infrastructure sector, securing SEC orders totalling $752 M.
