USA, Pennsylvania: Mitsubishi Electric is building a new advanced switchgear facility in Beaver County. The project promises economic growth and more than 200 new jobs.

The facility will function as both a factory and a testing lab for the global company.

“As elected officials, our priority is ensuring Beaver County has well-paying jobs to support families and strengthen our community,” said Daniel Camp, Chairman of the Beaver County Commissioners.

The new switchgear facility will help Mitsubishi Electric Power Products shift from manufacturing gas-insulated circuit breakers to more sustainable vacuum breakers.

“When selecting a location for our new facility, Beaver County stood out. We know the region, value its skilled workforce, and are committed to investing in this community,” said Susan Renda, Vice President of Human Resources and Administration at Mitsubishi Electric Power Products.

Construction is set to begin soon, with sustainability as a key focus.

“With our decarbonization goals, we aim for this to be a net-zero facility, running entirely on electric power,” Renda added.

The facility is scheduled for completion by summer 2026.
