USA: nVent Electric plc is set to acquire Avail Infrastructure Solutions’ Electrical Products Group for $975 M, subject to customary adjustments. This acquisition expands nVent’s portfolio with enclosures, switchgear, and bus systems, aligning with the increasing demand for modernized electrical infrastructure.

Beth Wozniak, nVent’s chair and CEO, highlighted that the need for control buildings, switchgear, and bus systems is rising as utilities upgrade aging infrastructure, expand capacity, and support data center growth. The Electrical Products Group has established strong relationships with power utilities, OEMs, EPCs, and data centers, boasting a significant installed base across the U.S.

The group employs approximately 1,100 people across nine U.S. manufacturing facilities. nVent plans to integrate the business primarily into its Systems Protection segment (formerly Enclosures) upon closing.

The transaction is expected to be finalized in the first half of 2025, pending customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
