Romania: Romanian turnkey renewable project developer Parapet has announced a contracted portfolio exceeding 1 GW of photovoltaic, wind, and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects for 2026.
The company will implement projects totalling 410 MWh of storage and around 700 MW of solar and wind capacity within Romania this year, according to a press release. Parapet has also signed agreements for 217 MW of photovoltaic projects in Germany and Italy.
In November, Parapet confirmed contracts with Italian renewable project developer Alerion Clean Power to construct seven solar projects with a combined planned capacity of 80.8 MWp across Romania and Italy.
Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Cluj-Napoca, Parapet also operates offices in Bucharest, Germany’s Nuremberg, and Italy’s Bergamo. Since its establishment, the company has completed over 2 GW of clean energy installations across 15 European countries.
Parapet provides engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, along with balance of plant (BoP) and balance of system (BoS) solutions, covering civil works, electrical construction, and full system installation. Its portfolio now includes more than 450 solar, wind, and battery storage projects, highlighting the company’s broad expertise in renewable energy delivery.
Through this expanding European footprint, Parapet aims to accelerate the deployment of sustainable energy solutions while strengthening its leadership in the region’s renewable infrastructure market.
