Power stock gains spotlight with Vedanta deal

S&S Power Switchgear’s subsidiary secures a major ₹30 Cr contract from Vedanta, marking one of the largest projects in its history.

India: Hamilton Research & Technology Private Limited (HART), a subsidiary of S&S Power Switchgear Ltd, has landed a significant domestic contract valued at $3.6 M (₹30 crore) from Vedanta Limited, located in Jharsuguda.

This fresh order puts the micro-cap company, known for its advanced electrical switchgear and automation solutions, in the market’s spotlight. HART will be responsible for supplying and commissioning Pot Controllers, making this one of the largest projects the company has undertaken to date. The delivery is set to begin in the current fiscal year and is expected to be completed over the next 24 months.

As of 30 April 2025, S&S Power Switchgear Ltd held a market cap of $56.4 million (₹472.87 crore). Its shares ended the day at $4.56 (₹383.15), marking a 4.9 % drop from the previous closing price of $4.80 (₹402.90).
