Poland: Polish engineering firm P&Q has landed a major contract with Ocean Winds Polska to deliver critical infrastructure for the BC-Wind offshore wind farm, a project with a capacity of up to 500 MW, located in Poland.
Under the agreement, P&Q will handle the design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of a 400 / 275 kV high-voltage substation along with a 400 kV transmission cable. This new infrastructure will link BC-Wind to the PSE SE Choczewo substation, forming a vital part of the project’s power export system.
P&Q stated that this win enhances its growing presence in Poland’s offshore wind industry and reinforces its commitment to the country’s renewable energy transformation. The company emphasized that the contract is a strategic step forward in expanding its green energy portfolio.
Additionally, P&Q highlighted its intention to boost local participation in the development, aligning with national goals for increasing domestic content in clean energy projects.
“This project marks a significant milestone for us and for Poland’s clean energy future,” the company said, underlining its role in shaping the country’s sustainable energy infrastructure.
With construction set to support Poland’s broader shift to low-carbon energy, P&Q is positioning itself as a key player in the offshore renewables sector.
