Saudi Electricity Company starts work on Jeddah substation project
The $72 M project is set to power 8,000 homes and enhance the region’s energy infrastructure.

Saudi Arabia, Jeddah: Saudi Arabia’s National Housing Company (NHC) has begun construction on the Sadayem substation project in northern Jeddah, in partnership with the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC).
The $72 M substation project in Jeddah is set to power 8,000 homes and enhance the region’s energy infrastructure.
Developed under a joint agreement, the project follows strict engineering standards with technical oversight at every stage, NHC stated.
Located near the Red Sea, Sadayem Destination spans 3.8 M m2 and features modern living spaces with 8 km of green corridors.
The 4,500 m2 substation will connect via 13 km of power lines, supplying over 8,000 homes and benefiting 45,000 residents.
The Saudi Electricity Project Development Company will oversee the project, ensuring safety, quality, and a reliable power supply to support the growing urban development.
