USA, Connecticut, Naugatuck: A Naugatuck facility specializing in electrical system refurbishments may soon expand, following its parent company’s acquisition by a Texas-based industry player. Mission Critical Group, headquartered in McKinney, Texas, has acquired DVM Manufacturing, now operating as DVM Power + Control. DVM refurbishes switchgear systems—vital equipment that ensures continuous power for data centers by managing internal power distribution and preventing outages.
DVM’s switchgear clients include high-profile names like AT&T, Verizon, Pfizer, and the FBI. The company is headquartered in West Chester, Pennsylvania, with facilities in Georgia and other parts of Pennsylvania. In February, a new 10-person operation opened in Naugatuck, where technicians retrofit existing switchgear systems. Refurbishment is marketed as a faster, more affordable alternative to purchasing new units, which often involve long lead times.
Mission Critical Group plans to invest in the Naugatuck plant without any job cuts, according to company spokesperson Laura Noland. She praised DVM for its engineering expertise and robust U.S. production capabilities, adding the acquisition helps reduce exposure to international supply chain issues amid ongoing global tariff challenges.
Mission Critical Group also owns Louisiana-based Point Eight Power and Idaho-based JTS, both involved in manufacturing and power system solutions.
